Long Lake Camp summer staff, both paid and volunteer, are carefully chosen on the basis of character, previous experience, and leadership potential.  Applicants are screened through the Child Abuse Registry Check of their home Province as well as a police Criminal Records Check.  All paid staff members hold current first aid certification and undergo thorough training prior to working-serving at camp.  The ratio of staff/volunteers to campers is at least 1:6.  Certain positions require additional skills and training.

Councillors that care At Long Lake Camp, each of the Councillors that are hired each year are hand selected by our Board of Directors and must have completed a profession of faith.
